As a skilled Wordpress Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom Wordpress websites using themes, plugins, HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/jQuery. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance and support throughout the project.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of Wordpress CMS, themes, and plugins, as well as experience in custom theme development, plugin customization and development. You must be comfortable starting with a blank page, understanding and applying design principles, incorporating client color palettes to take a website from beginning to completion.

You will also be responsible for optimizing websites for performance, responsiveness, and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance user experience and improve search engine rankings. This includes image optimization, managing site caching, and managing sitemaps, among other things.

In addition to design and development skills, this role requires strong problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary to collaborate with cross-functional teams and understand client needs.

  • Design and develop custom Wordpress websites using themes, plugins, HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Customize existing Wordpress themes and plugins to meet client requirements, ensuring seamless integration with their branding and visual identity.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance and support, and communicate project progress, milestones, and timelines effectively.
  • Optimize websites for performance, responsiveness, and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance user experience and improve search engine rankings.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors in websites, perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance tasks to ensure website security and stability.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Wordpress Web Developer—including front-end design and back-end configuration and management—with a strong portfolio showcasing your previous work.
  • WordPress Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Wordpress CMS, themes, and plugins.
Technical Skills:
