Senior Observability Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Observability Engineer to steer the future direction of our company's Observability strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining an Observability solution that aligns with our IT strategy and vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Observability Engineers to develop an Observability solution that integrates seamlessly into our delivery pipelines and application codebases.
  • Communicate effectively with governance streams to ensure adherence to process, quality, and architectural design.
  • Deliver against functional and non-functional requirements, taking ownership and accountability for development of key features.
  • Participate in incident management to rectify production defects based on criticality and severity.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Observability pillars and experience with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying and managing AWS resources.
  • Current experience of hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineering using Java, Microsoft C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management Tools and technologies like Source Code Management (git), DevOps platforms (GitLab, TeamCity, Sonatype Nexus).
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience with enterprise-level Monitoring tools.
  • OpenTelemetry – instrumentation and use of OTEL solutions.
  • APM Experience with AppDynamics, DataDog, Dynatrace.
  • AWS OpenSearchElastic, ingestion tooling Crbl, Grafana & Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies and concepts on AWS or Azure/GCP.
