Accounts Receivable Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a skilled and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. As an AR Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely payment from customers, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, or fax to discuss outstanding invoices and billing issues.
- Manage a collections portfolio ranging from 300 to 600 accounts, focusing on a Canadian and/or US territory of accounts.
- Negotiate customer payment terms as needed based on assessment of account status to ensure maximum payment recovery.
You will work closely with internal sales reps to proactively troubleshoot payment issues and document and track collections activity.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A completed college diploma in Accounting or Finance, or related experience.
- Two to three years of experience in corporate (B2B) collections, focusing on medium to enterprise-level customers.
- Experience with the Accounts Receivable escalation process and taking initiative to resolve account issues.
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
As an ideal candidate, you possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, similar experience managing a portfolio of accounts, and customer service orientation.
