Overview of the Role

The EDL Group of Companies is a leading provider of high-quality animal-related products and services. We are seeking a skilled PRODUCT AND BRAND OFFICER to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of effective brand strategies that drive business growth.

This role involves developing and implementing brand strategies, conducting market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing brand assets, and monitoring brand performance metrics.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong understanding of the animal industry and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement brand strategies: Develop and implement effective brand strategies that enhance the visibility and appeal of our animal industry products and services.
  2. Conduct market research: Conduct market research to understand customer preferences and industry trends, and use these insights to inform product development and branding initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns that effectively communicate our brand messaging.
  4. Manage brand assets: Manage the creation and distribution of various brand assets, including product packaging, advertising materials, and digital content.
  5. Monitor brand performance metrics: Monitor and analyze brand performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize our marketing efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Bachelor's degree: A Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Animal Husbandry, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in veterinary health, nutrition company or feeds company.
  3. Demonstrated success: Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective brand strategies that drive business growth.
  4. Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
  6. Marketing tools proficiency: Proficiency in using different marketing tools.
  7. Industry knowledge: Passion for the animal industry and a deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends.
  8. Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
  9. Licence: Ability to drive a 4-wheeled vehicle with a valid driver's license.
