Software Development Expert

Join a dynamic team as a Software Development Expert to shape the next chapter in payments infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers and leverage expertise in developing embedded spend management platforms for banks and financial institutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing payment processing, ledgering, and financial reconciliation systems. They should be skilled in architecting robust integrations with various payment rails and banking APIs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing scalable, secure, and reliable backend systems.
  • Developing a strong understanding of the domain and bringing a deep product and design mindset while building solutions.
  • Participating in code reviews, pair-programming sessions, and providing constructive feedback to peers.

Required qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer (with a focus on payments/fintech).
  • Extensive experience in developing and integrating with banking and card scheme protocols.
  • Mastery in at least one programming language (e.g Kotlin, Java, Go, Scala, Rust).
  • Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases and distributed systems.
  • Strong grasp of SQL and relational data modeling.

Bonus points for candidates with:

  • Previous work experience in the banking or fintech industry.
  • Familiarity with financial industry frameworks and technologies such as payment gateways, transaction processing systems, or financial messaging protocols.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
