Job Description

MetroMart Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer Team Lead to join our team in the heart of the city.

About Us:

MetroMart is an on-demand grocery delivery platform that enables customers to purchase products online from their favorite local store and have them delivered to their doorstep within 90 minutes.

Your Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled iOS Engineer Team Lead who will lead by example, guiding and mentoring the team to ensure projects are accomplished as promised and deliver expected outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Advancing our architecture and abstractions to enable code scalability and feature teams to deliver with increasing autonomy.
  • Mentoring team members on design patterns and code reusability.
  • Leading design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.
  • Improving and maintaining mobile apps CI and CD infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Building and maintaining developer tools to help product teams work effectively.
  • Developing libraries and foundations in areas such as testing, analytics, networking, and logging.
  • Soliciting feedback from the development team to drive a great overall developer experience.
  • Ensuring performance and operational reliability of applications.
  • Creating end-to-end system integration design and deployment strategies.
  • Establishing a collaborative development environment and encouraging new ideas for finding solutions to common problems.
  • Developing high-quality software in Swift programming language.
  • Creating scalable software systems.
  • Experienced in project management process (i.e. Scrum) and able to lead team discussions/meetings.

Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 8+ years developing iOS Native mobile applications in Swift.
  • 4+ years leading and guiding technical teams.
  • Deep expertise in iOS front-end development.
  • Strong architecting and design skills, working directly with end clients.
  • Familiar with Git.
  • Excellent English communication (both written and oral) with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

Additional Information:

  • We follow Scrum (weekly sprints, SP1, SP2, review, retrospectives, refinements).
  • We have a documented API and follow the JSONAPI specification.
  • Building exciting internal tools for the fast-moving tech delivery platform.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
