We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer to drive the development of our scalable and robust software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong infrastructure and DevOps experience, ensuring the reliability, security, and high performance of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain backend software solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Own the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct code reviews, and foster technical excellence throughout the organization.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for rapid, reliable deployments.
Infrastructure & DevOps
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using CDK, Terraform, Docker, and AWS, ensuring consistency and scalability across environments.
  • Develop automation solutions to streamline deployments, system configuration, and monitoring, reducing manual errors and improving overall efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain user access controls, permissions, and infrastructure-level security, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
  • Experiment with agentic workflows and AI-driven operations tooling to enhance infrastructure scalability and efficiency.
Monitoring, Observability & Reliability
  • Implement and maintain monitoring systems using AWS CloudWatch, Sentry, and Jira, providing real-time visibility into application health and system reliability.
  • Service Management to track application health and system reliability, identifying potential issues before they impact users.
  • Define and manage alerts, logs, and dashboards that proactively identify and resolve performance or availability issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Respond to incidents in production environments and conduct post-incident reviews to drive improvements, leveraging insights to inform future development and operations strategies.
Security
  • Apply security best practices across code, infrastructure, and deployments, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to uphold compliance and system integrity, maintaining the highest standards of security and governance.
  • Stay current with emerging AI-related security considerations and tools, staying ahead of potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years experience in software engineering with a strong backend development focus, including experience with infrastructure and DevOps.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD, automation, and monitoring, with hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong understanding of IAM permissions, application architecture, cloud infrastructure, and platform security, with familiarity with agentic workflows or AI-powered productivity tools highly beneficial.
