Tax Professional Lead
\About the Role:\This is a mid-senior level position that oversees the tax team, ensuring high-quality service to clients. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
\Responsibilities:\- \
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns using Ultra Tax software.\
- Review individual and business tax returns prepared by staff members.\
- Provide tax planning insights and recommendations to clients.\
- Manage status tracking and completion of open items such as tax issues with government agencies.\
- Manage engagement scope, deadlines, and budgets effectively.\
- Supervise and train tax accountants to improve their skills.\
- Communicate complex issues and deliverables to clients in a clear and concise manner.\
- Identify and resolve technical tax issues, involving partners when necessary.\
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.\
- Manage system applications to streamline workflows.\
- \Qualifications/Experience:\
- \
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.\
- A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.\
- The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of tax experience, including review responsibilities.\
- Proficiency with Ultra Tax and related tax preparation software is essential.\
- Strong leadership skills, including team supervision and coaching, are necessary.\
- The ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines is critical.\
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.\
- A high attention to detail, combined with the ability to see the big picture, is essential.\
- The ability to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated to the next level of management is vital.\
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, is necessary.\
