Job Title: Security Operations Center Specialist

This role requires a professional who can monitor and investigate security events across the global network, endpoints, and cloud environments. The individual will be responsible for timely detection, escalation, and mitigation of security attacks, as well as investigation and remediation of alarms and alerts.

The Security Operations Center Analyst will work closely with the incident response team to understand processes and tools in place to address current threats. They will also assist in staying ahead of attackers by identifying suspicious activities and anomalies from various data sources.

  • Investigate security incidents and follow established procedures for security monitoring and response.
  • Develop and maintain processes for hunting and detecting suspicious activities and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with data asset owners to communicate business response plans and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives, including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 Type II.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of SOC processes and help maintain performance metrics (SLAs and KPIs).
  • Participate in containment efforts during security incidents and tune existing use cases to improve accuracy.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Familiarity with system logs and understanding of their significance.
  • Enthusiasm and interest in Information Security.
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center or related field.
  • 2+ years working in Information Security or equivalent education.
  • Experience with SIEM and EDR monitoring, incident management, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of Firewall monitoring, Cloud monitoring, and Threat Hunting.
