Job Title

Senior Systems Specialist Role


This is a permanent full-time position based in Bonifacio Global City, following a hybrid work model (at least 2 in-office days per week).

Position: Senior Systems Specialist at a leading organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily technical operations including application management and support for provided services (24/7).
  • Independently monitors real-time system health; troubleshoots software/hardware errors, failures and capacity issues; collaborates with other analysts and development teams.
  • Independently performs startup and shutdown of core systems, leads recovery procedures, scheduling, backups, and monitors batch processes.
  • Troubleshoots complex order entry and market data connectivity issues with clients (on-prem to cloud, exchanges, market centers, and network providers).
  • Reviews system capabilities, department workflow, and scheduling requirements to evaluate for efficiencies and improvements.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills: Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts: virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls.
  • Manages security of operating systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience in Data Center, Trading, Computer, or Network Operations.
  • Knowledgeable in Unix/Linux commands from basic to advanced.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Experience writing shell scripts in Bash/Ruby/Python.
  • Experience with Gitlab, configuration management (Ansible/Chef/Puppet), containerization (Docker), Cloud (AWS) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
  • Experience Required: At least 5 years.
  • Certifications relevant for the role.
