Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data pipelines to deliver large, complex datasets that form the basis of analysis, dashboards, statistical analysis & modelling as well as data quality analysis.

This role requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, especially Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Big Query.

  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines using ETL tools.
  • Develop standards and practices for data architecture and engineering.
  • Work closely with numerous stakeholder groups to deliver data driven solutions.
  • Act as a Data custodian responsible for sourcing and preparing quality and trusted data for the use of the extended team.
  • Builds and deploys machine learning and analytics models into production.
  • Facilitate faster data collection process by improving technology/infrastructure over time.
  • Efficiently manage and maintain existing data platforms.
  • Continuously align architecture with changing business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Business Analytics, Engineering, Data Science (Desirable).
  • Strong understanding of design patterns.
  • Expertise with a diverse range of data modeling techniques.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to work as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive organizational goals.
