As a Merchant Acquisition Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base at GHL Systems Berhad. You will be responsible for acquiring new merchants and increasing sales revenue in the assigned territory.

  • You will perform fieldwork selling of Point-of-sales (POS) terminals or credit/debit card devices to business owners/merchants.
  • Your primary objective is to meet the monthly sales quota by developing effective sales strategies and building strong relationships with clients.
  • You will also be required to perform initial fraud orientation to merchants and assist them in coordinating concerns to our Head Office.
  • In addition, you will be the first line of support for technical concerns about POS devices and travel within your assigned territory to perform fieldwork selling.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire new merchants and increase sales revenue in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet monthly sales quota.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform initial fraud orientation to merchants and assist them in coordinating concerns to our Head Office.
  • Be the first line of support for technical concerns about POS devices.
  • Travel within your assigned territory to perform fieldwork selling.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess at least a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate in any field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A minimum of 1 year of sales experience is required for this position; merchant acquiring experience is an advantage.
  • You must be willing to perform fieldwork type of selling and have above-average communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills for closing deals are essential.
  • You should also have good networking skills and the ability to handle numerous clients and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and devise sales strategies is necessary.
  • You must be able to explain product features and benefits in a way that stands out over competing brands and services.
  • A passion for selling and finding ways to satisfy client/customers' needs is required.
  • Resilience and a willingness to deal with rejection are also essential qualities.
  • Excellent organization and management capabilities, including being a team player, are necessary.
