The Global Importation Procurement Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless importation of goods and services for our organization. This involves overseeing import functions, implementing strategic sourcing and purchasing approaches, managing supplier relationships, and guaranteeing compliance with quality and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies to enhance cost competitiveness, product quality, and delivery performance.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of purchase requisitions and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable business terms.
- Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and review contract compliance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Sources alternative suppliers to ensure supply availability and cost-effectiveness.
This position requires strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage cross-departmental coordination and external partner relationships. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the importation budget, ensuring cost-effective practices, and adhering to financial targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Customs Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in retail or trading industries with a focus on importation and procurement.
- Strong knowledge of import processes, procurement, compliance, and supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with teams, manage relationships, and handle complex situations.
We offer a competitive package including an attractive salary range of Php 60,000 - Php 80,000 (gross pay), Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) coverage up to Php 100,000, sick leave, vacation leave, birthday leave, and financial assistance during probationary employment and regular employment.
Work Schedule:We operate from Monday to Friday, onsite, with remote work arrangements on Saturdays. We value flexibility and work-life balance.
