As a seasoned professional in payroll management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payrolls for multi-state employees. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, including timecard processing, rate changes, retroactive adjustments, bonuses, and final pay calculations. They will also ensure approvals of time and pay exceptions by managers before processing, verify deductions such as benefits, union dues, garnishments, auto allowance, and Direct Bill payments, and reconcile and submit payroll-related data for 401(k) plans.

This role demands a deep understanding of federal and state payroll laws, labor regulations, and prevailing wage requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a multi-jurisdiction environment.

We are seeking an individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can effectively partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve payroll issues and align payroll with organizational goals. Experience with payroll systems, such as Paycom, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll process for multi-state employees

  • Process timecards, rate changes, retroactive adjustments, bonuses, and final pay calculations

  • Verify deductions and process payroll-related data for 401(k) plans

  • Reconcile and submit payroll-related data for DailyPay, Purchasing Power, and other programs

  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state payroll laws, labor regulations, and prevailing wage requirements

  • Audit payroll and timekeeping data regularly for compliance and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a multi-jurisdiction environment

  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, labor regulations, and prevailing wage requirements

  • Experience with payroll systems, such as Paycom, and Microsoft Office Suite
