At FAST Laboratories, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Chemist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct chemical and physical analyses according to specified methods and produce accurate, timely, and relevant results.
- Ensure timely release of analyses and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and review data generated, ensuring correctness and quality.
- Prepare reagents and maintain equipment for laboratory tests, adhering to prescribed test methods.
- Prepare samples for subcontracting to other laboratories for analyses that cannot be done in-house.
- Implement systematic workflow by prioritizing laboratory tests and maintaining a regular schedule.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems, including PNS ISO 17025 and other accrediting institutions.
- Monitor and requisition chemicals and supplies to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays in test results.
- Maintain good housekeeping, safety guidelines, and proper disposal of laboratory waste.
- Safeguard confidentiality of test results and procedures.
- Participate in proficiency testing, quality assurance programs, and method verification/validation as required.
- Provide assistance in non-routine analysis and train new hires on physical/chemical analysis techniques.
- Represent FAST Laboratories in professional circles and technical forums as required.
- Perform other tasks as necessary to support laboratory objectives and the cooperative.
