Responsibilities

The Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing information security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Managing security systems, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and SIEM tools, to identify and respond to security incidents.
  • Leading incident response activities, including containment, investigation, and resolution of security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the design and development of IT systems and applications.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to IT teams on security-related matters, including secure coding practices, network security, and data protection.
  • Staying updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to proactively identify and address potential risks.
  • Managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure compliance with security requirements and standards.
  • Delivering security awareness training programs to educate employees on security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • P Presenting regular reports to senior management on the status of information security initiatives, including key metrics, risks, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in information security management roles, with a focus on technical expertise and hands-on experience in security operations.
  • Understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices, including network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Experience in performing security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management using industry-standard tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Experience leading incident response activities, including coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements, such as DPA, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
