The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is seeking a highly skilled National Expert on Carbon Markets to support the implementation of a Technical Cooperation Programme in Cambodia, Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of national readiness roadmaps for agrifood systems and Article 6 participation.

Key Activities:
  • Develop national readiness roadmaps for agrifood systems and Article 6 participation.
  • Support the project team in implementing activities at the national level.
  • Provide support in preparing Article 6 programme or project concepts and feasibility assessments.
Requirements:
  • Masters' degree in economics, law, finance, policy, accounting, business administration, marketing, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in carbon markets.
  • Solid knowledge of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and voluntary carbon markets.
  • Excellent project management skills.
