Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at IntouchCX. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

About the Role
This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management and deployment, including compute, networking, storage, and database GCP services. You will work closely with data architects to implement and maintain scalable and efficient GCP environments tailored to our data handling and analysis needs.

Main Responsibilities
- Administer and manage GCP services and infrastructure, supporting solutions including BigQuery, Bigtable, and Compute Engine.
- Collaborate with data architects to design and deploy highly available and fault-tolerant GCP environments.
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure issues, providing tier-2 support as needed to ensure continuous service availability and performance.
- Work with reporting analysts to optimize data flows, queries, and storage to improve report generation speed and accuracy.
- Implement and maintain security policies and compliance in line with company standards and regulatory requirements, managing IAM roles and permissions.
- Configure and maintain security groups, firewall rules, and other network security measures (isolation and segmentation) to prevent unauthorized access.
- Monitor cloud resources, analyze usage statistics, and implement cost-saving measures to manage expenses effectively.
- Stay updated with new GCP features and technologies, assessing their potential benefit and applicability to our business needs.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven 2+ years experience as a cloud administrator, specifically with Google Cloud Platform services.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management and deployment, including compute, networking, storage, and database GCP services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash for automation tasks.
- Google Cloud Certified at a professional or higher level in IT or Cybersecurity.
