Cloud Infrastructure Expert Job Description

This role is ideal for a seasoned cloud infrastructure professional with expertise in Microsoft Azure and M365. You'll be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising cloud environments that support financial trading operations.

The right candidate will have excellent technical skills, including deep knowledge of Azure, AWS, GCP, and M365. They should also possess strong troubleshooting skills, able to resolve escalated issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1/L2 support for cloud systems, including Azure VMs, storage, and networking.
  • Maintain system health, perform patching, backups, and configuration reviews.
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and GCP.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of IT networking principles.
  • Experience administering Azure and M365 services, including compute, IAM, and monitoring.
  • Ability to enforce cloud governance, tagging, and cost optimisation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of virtualisation platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, HCI).
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Ability to monitor and respond to alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
