About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning and Execution: Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases based on product requirements
  2. Defect Management: Identify, report, and track defects to closure in an efficient and organized manner using tools such as JIRA or similar
  3. Testing Types: Perform functional, regression, usability, performance, and system testing
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with development and product teams to clarify requirements and drive quality
  5. Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation, improving overall test coverage, and reducing manual effort
  6. Problem Solving: Assist in root cause analysis for issues and contribute to solutions for process improvements
  7. Agile Methodologies: Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups as part of the Agile development methodologies
  8. User Acceptance Testing: Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and release validation processes
  9. Quality Metrics: Monitor software quality metrics and help drive improvements in testing processes

Requirements

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  2. Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional software testing or quality assurance experience
  3. Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes; proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques; solid knowledge of SQL to validate data integrity
  4. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering quality software
