Caption Translator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Caption Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in linguistics and be able to translate content with precision.

  • Translate captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and software
  • Fix incorrect cultural translation issues using machine translation post editing
  • Develop the ability to change translations without breaking the meaning
  • Maintain a translation database using translation management software
  • Provide quality assurance for the translation process
  • Work with various media and translation software
  • Resolve translation-related issues
  • Engage with other departments for translation services

This is a part-time position requiring a bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics and at least four years of experience in translation. Proficiency in translation management system tools and knowledge of translation processes are essential.

The successful candidate will possess excellent translation, writing, and communication skills, as well as fluency in at least two target languages. Additional certification in linguistics is a plus.
