Job Opportunity

Purpose: This role involves working with a lead developer to implement backend features and functionality. Success will depend on delivering high-quality code that meets established standards and integrates seamlessly with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement backend services and features using Node.js and JavaScript based on provided specifications.
  • Fully comply with established coding conventions, patterns, and architectural guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough manual testing of implemented features before submission.
  • Read and understand detailed requirements, asking clarifying questions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the lead engineer to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to our engineering standards.
  • Participate in code reviews focusing on learning and consistency.
  • Methodically debug and troubleshoot issues.
  • Document implementation details and testing procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
  • Excellent ability to follow established coding styles and conventions.
  • Proven track record of implementing features based on written requirements and specifications.
  • Experience with manual QA and testing methodologies.
  • Strong reading comprehension and the ability to ask clarifying questions.
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
  • Self-motivated and effective in a remote-work environment.
  • Bonus: Experience with AI and LLM tools like Claude Code.
