Embedded Linux Specialist

We are seeking an Embedded Linux Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for expanding our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux and experience with distribution packaging, software design, system debugging, and customer engagement. They will also possess excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings and company events.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. The successful candidate will have a passion for Linux and a drive to meet commitments, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain Canonical technology
  • Elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients
  • Participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux
  • Convey market requirements to key stakeholders and contribute to the development or refinement of generic solutions to unlock market potential

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Mandarin and willing to travel to China regularly
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Extensive Linux experience – Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Distribution/Packaging experience (deb, rpm, ...)
  • Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...)
  • Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented, ability to multi-task
  • A personal drive to meet commitments; humble learner and quick study
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences
