Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Shopify development, with a proven ability to customize themes and build custom solutions as needed. They will be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language), and familiar with PHP and frameworks like Laravel. Experience with WordPress development is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customize and maintain Shopify themes, primarily using selections from the theme store, with a preference for Enterprise or Impact themes
  • Develop and implement bespoke Shopify themes as needed, ensuring each client's vision is realized
  • Enhance website functionality by integrating third-party applications and APIs
  • Ensure fast load times and a seamless user experience across devices
  • Build websites following SEO best practices to improve site visibility and search rankings
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly to minimize downtime

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Shopify development
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language)
  • Familiar with PHP and frameworks like Laravel
  • Experience with WordPress development is an added advantage
  • Excellent English communication skills for clear internal collaboration
  • Available to work West Coast hours
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
  • Ability to integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance store functionality
