Key Role: Financial Modelling and Portfolio Management

This critical position plays a pivotal part in creating, refining and delivering financial models that drive business growth and development.

You'll collaborate closely with capital markets, project accounting, FP&A, regulatory, land and stakeholder management teams to build strategic relationships and inform key business decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and enhance portfolio-level financial models to inform budgets, forecasts and investment strategies.
  • Produce detailed budget-to-actual variance analysis and communicate findings to operational teams.
  • Identify underperformance and optimization opportunities of operating assets leading to actionable recommendations that drive improved results.
  • Prepare comprehensive reporting packages and deliverables for investors, lenders and stakeholders.
  • Work with operational teams to ensure delivery of key alerts and protect portfolios from operational risk.
  • Develop data infrastructure that enables the team to isolate and investigate key performance drivers such as energy rates, production and other metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial modelling, accounting or relevant coursework.
  • Creative mindset with proven analytical ability, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with large datasets, querying databases and using ERP systems like NetSuite.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
