Job Opportunity:

A Data Analyst position has opened up in our dynamic and growing apparel company specializing in selling branded products on Amazon.

Job Overview: Our diverse product line features 40 base products and nearly 2000 variation choices, with a commitment to delivering top-quality apparel to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prediction Analysis: Develop and implement advanced statistical models to forecast sales, profitability, and inventory needs for short-term and long-term periods.
  • Data Collection: Analyze internal data from Amazon API, QuickBooks, as well as external information on global economic trends, market conditions, and consumer behavior.
  • Trend Identification: Identify and interpret key trends and patterns in sales, seasonality, and customer preferences.
  • Algorithm Development: Create and refine algorithms to optimize pricing strategies, inventory management, and marketing campaigns.
  • Dashboard Creation: Develop and maintain custom dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Google Data Studio to visualize predictive models and key metrics.
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks to production and supply chain, such as fabric shortages, natural disasters, and other disruptions, and incorporate these factors into forecasting models.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve data collection processes, analytical methods, and forecasting accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Scientist, preferably in an e-commerce or Amazon-focused company.
    • Proven experience in developing and deploying statistical models for prediction and analysis.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning tools such as Python, R, SQL, and frameworks like TensorFlow.
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Google Data Studio.
    • Strong background in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Apparel Industry: Previous experience working with branded apparel products is a plus.
  • Amazon Expertise: In-depth understanding of Amazon's marketplace, seller tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Global Trend Analysis: Experience in analyzing global economic trends and their impact on business performance.
  • Risk Management: Knowledge of assessing and mitigating risks related to supply chain disruptions, such as fabric shortages, natural disasters, and geopolitical events.
