Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that all purchase requests are budgeted and fulfilled on time.

All vendors must be thoroughly screened and accredited prior to making any purchases.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Procurement:
    • Verify that purchase requests are complete with specifications and budgeted.
    • Solicit at least three quotations and recommend the best option.
    • Issue Purchase Orders without delay.
    • Monitor delivery of goods and services as per committed dates by vendors.
    • Coordinate with departments regarding delivery of goods/services.
  2. Request for Payment:
    • Ensure submission of supporting documents from concerned departments.
    • Resolve vendor disputes and concerns.
    • Follow up with departments for submission of RFP before the month-end close.
  3. Administration:
    • Responsible for check releasing every Friday from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.
    • Account for all checks released and unreleased, updating the cashflow forecast file weekly.
    • Ensure all assets are fully accounted and tagged before release to requisitioners.
    • Perform periodic physical counts of assets and inventory.
    • Conduct spot audits of PMO supplies.
  4. Budget Monitoring:
    • Evaluate PRs for alignment with approved departmental budgets.
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's / College Degree in any business course.
  • At least 3 years of procurement experience in real property development or a related field.
  • Critical thinker with good analytical skills; able to ask the right questions to uncover real issues and use information effectively to predict outcomes.
  • Good reasoning ability; able to solve a wide range of business problems.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
