Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Behavioural Observation: Conduct regular observations to monitor employee conduct and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Evaluate SBO results, summarize findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Daily Safety Data: Update daily safety data to track incidents, near misses, and other safety-related events.
  • Job Hazard Analysis: Conduct job hazard analysis to identify potential hazards and develop controls to mitigate risks.
  • SHE Meetings: Attend regular SHE meetings to discuss safety-related issues and share best practices.
  • Routine Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections of production lines and deliver 5-minute safety talks to employees.
  • Fire Fighting Equipment: Inspect fire fighting equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • PPE Implementation: Monitor PPE implementation and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Safety Orientation: Conduct safety orientation for new employees and visitors.
  • Safety Training: Provide safety training and re-orientation for employees.
  • Emergency Drills: Conduct fire and emergency drills to prepare employees for unexpected situations.
  • Safety Manuals: Update safety manuals and safety signages to reflect changes in company policies and procedures.
  • Permits Renewal: Renew all government permits as required.
  • Pest Control: Monitor pest control implementation to prevent infestations.
  • Liaison with Government Officials: Liaise with government officials and other entities as required.
  • SHE Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly and monthly SHE reports to the Operation Head.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvements.
