Knowledgebase Writer Job Description

This role is responsible for maintaining the health and best practices of a knowledge base. The ideal candidate will encourage correct and widespread usage, create guidelines for information capture, and ensure the knowledge base stays up-to-date.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Define Knowledge Management Strategy: Develop a strategy to manage the knowledge base's content and maintain its quality.
  • Work with Stakeholders: Collaborate with various teams, including training, operations, and clients, to develop and support new and existing products.
  • Analyze Data: Use analytics to evaluate business impact, track usage, and define efficiency of the knowledge base's content.
  • Establish Writing Guidelines: Create guidelines based on knowledge base best practices.
  • Review and Implement Changes: Review agent suggestions and implement changes to knowledge base articles.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in content writing.
  • Experience creating engaging online articles, guides, and user support content.
  • Demonstrated competency with writing and graphics tools and apps.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and create innovative solutions.
  • Ability to learn new knowledge and skills quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include:

  • Experience with a knowledgebase as a writer and administrator.
  • Understanding of Search Engine Optimization.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Functional understanding of adult learning principles.
