Senior Collections Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Collections Strategist to lead our collections operations.

About the Role

This is a highly visible and influential role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing effective collections strategies, improving recoveries, and reducing delinquency rates.

Responsibilities
  1. Collections Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive collections strategies aligned with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  2. Process Improvement: Evaluate existing collections processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency, minimize losses, and improve recovery rates.
  3. Leadership: Lead and manage a team of collections professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
  4. Analysis and Reporting: Analyze delinquency trends, portfolio performance, and other relevant data to identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them. Regularly report on progress to senior management.
  5. Risk Management: Implement risk management practices and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in collections processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in collections operations within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, results-oriented mindset, detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency: Proficient in using collections software and systems.
