We're seeking a highly skilled Junior Project Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for performing key support functions that directly influence projects billing, remittance, and administration tasks.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Client Billing: Assist with client billing, including capturing invoice details, printing backup invoices, and submitting invoice packages.
  • Remittance Preparation: Prepare BIR acknowledgement receipts and bank deposit slips as needed.
  • Collection Monitoring: Track withholding tax certificates and update trackers accordingly.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients for cheque payments and coordinate collection activities.
  • Invoice Backup Compilation: Assist project teams with compiling invoice backups as required.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Ensure proper accounting records, project files, and relevant documentation are maintained.
  • Debtor Identification: Identify past due accounts and assist in monitoring collections.
  • Statutory Audit Support: Support statutory and tax audits requiring project accounting support.
  • Best Practice Adherence: Adhere to company requirements and audit standards.
  • Backup Support: Provide backup resources when the Project Accountant is on leave.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of accounting or business-related field with a background in accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in handling accounting support responsibilities for projects.
  • Skills: Proficiency in English (written and spoken), strong communication skills, and understanding of accounting terms and basic BIR tax forms.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of financial system applications (Oracle a plus), good computer knowledge, especially MS Office Excel.
