We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in a challenging role that combines expertise in Linux-based infrastructure and applications.

About the Role
  • This position requires resolving complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes and other open source software.
  • Maintaining close working relationships with various teams is essential.
  • Participating in upstream communities is also crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and work with upstream for inclusion.
  2. Review code produced by other engineers.
  3. Demonstrate good judgment in technical methods and techniques.
  4. Prioritize work and manage time effectively against those priorities.
  5. Participate in team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation.
  6. Maintain clear, technical, and concise communications.
Requirements
  • An exceptional academic track record.
  • Background in Computer Science, STEM, or similar fields.
  • Experience with Linux and open source software is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux is necessary.
  • A drive to learn unfamiliar technology and deep-dive difficult issues is essential.
