Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and integrity of software applications and integrations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to grow technical and business skills in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, as well as testing and validating web integrations, features, and analytics dashboards. You will have the opportunity to work on both customer and internal projects, leveraging your analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and validate integrations between systems to ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting.
  • Review user stories, integration requirements, and API documentation to ensure clarity and testability.
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for data flows, workflows, and process automation.
  • Verify data mapping, synchronization, and error handling between connected systems.
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT testing on platform features and enhancements.
  • Test and validate BI reports and dashboards for data accuracy, visualization, and usability.
  • Document and track bugs, issues, and test results using collaborative tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
  • Contribute to QA process improvements and automation initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • The Essentials:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
    • A minimum of two years of professional experience in QA, software testing, or a related technical role (internships, school projects welcome).
    • Basic understanding of web applications, APIs (REST, SOAP), and data flows.
    • Familiarity with SQL for data validation and analysis.
  • Additional Successful Qualifications:
    • Experience testing APIs or integrations between systems.
    • Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms).
    • Knowledge of JSON, XML, or API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
    • Exposure to QA automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
    • Understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud applications, and data security.
