The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing General Ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Financial Analyst - General Ledger to lead our financial closing process, manage statutory remittances, and provide supervision/coaching to finance staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Lead Financial Analyst - General Ledger, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the monthly financial closing process and ensuring global timelines are met;
  • Reviewing cash advances, reimbursements, and replenishments to ensure documentation and budget compliance;
  • Preparing monthly financial statements and spending analyses for statutory reporting (BIR, PEZA, SEC);
  • Developing and finalizing the annual budget, incorporating trends and new plans/projects;
  • Verifying AP payment transactions (payroll, vendor, government, employee non-payroll) in Digibanker;
  • Managing and reviewing statutory remittances (SSS, Pag-ibig, Philhealth, BIR);
  • Acting as primary contact for internal and external audits (financial and tax);
  • Continuously improving accounting practices and providing supervision/coaching to finance staff;
  • Collaborating with local and cross-functional teams; performing ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Senior Director of Finance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation;
  • A Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy;
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in finance, including financial analysis, accounting, and audit;
  • At least 3 years' experience leading/supervising a group of personnel in finance sections such as Accounts Payable, Payroll Accounting, Travel and Expense Accounting, General accounting, Month End Financial closing, Financial analyses, Financial Reporting, Bank reconciliation, etc.;
  • Experience in BPO/Call Center/Shared Services industry;
  • At least 2 years' audit experience;
  • Knowledge and experience of compliance reporting and remittance requirements for SEC, BIR, and PEZA/BOI;
  • Good knowledge on Procurement functions and activities as it relates to vendor accreditation, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Non-PO transactions, etc.;
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and other MS applications;
  • Strong presentation skills, verbal communication skills, and written communication skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with shifting priorities.
