**Australian Payroll Specialist Role**

As an Australian Payroll Specialist at Satellite Office, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping:
    • Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts using XERO or databases.
    • Prepare financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
    • Regular Bank Reconciliation.
    • Complete Monthly and Quarterly BAS returns.
    • Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert the Accountant of errors.
    • Record inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies.
    • Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit, and loss, and balance sheets.
    • Help the Accountant with administrative duties and prepare yearly accounts.

Payroll Duties:

  • Maintain payroll information for Clients by collating, calculating, and updating payroll data.
  • Generate fortnightly payroll files and prepare reports on earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages.
  • Calculate payroll liabilities, resolve discrepancies, and answer employee payroll queries.
  • Ensure all payroll operations comply with company policies and procedures.

**Ideal Candidate:**

  • Xero and other cloud-based Payroll systems.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping experience.
  • Australian Accounting and Tax Compliance, and Payroll compliance.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in Australian Payroll and Bookkeeping.
