Editorial Content Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support our special coverage team in creating impactful live journalism events, podcasts, and other digital content around critical global convenings.


Job Description
  • Collaborate with senior editors to shape the narrative of Devex's live events, podcasts, and digital content, ensuring alignment with our journalism standards.
  • Conduct research to identify key issues, thought leaders, and innovators relevant to our audience, helping develop ideas for interviews or panels.
  • Identify and recommend speakers who can bring critical issues to life onstage, enhancing our audience's understanding of complex challenges in global development.
  • Manage speaker correspondence, including scheduling briefing calls, collecting and sharing key assets, and preparing event materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong editorial judgment and experience editing and curating content that resonates with global development audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in journalism, editorial content creation, and/or event management.
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, juggling multiple priorities while ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and tools is a plus.
  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
