This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to support their business needs and manage various tasks related to accounting and taxation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian taxation, including experience with Division 7a loans and preparation of Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements. They will also be able to mentor and review the work of junior accountants and take on leadership responsibilities as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process financial transactions up to trial balance stage and prepare financial statements for lodgement with the relevant authorities.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements with the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Maintain general ledger records and reconcile entries.
  • Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of Year compliance jobs.
  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
