Job Opportunity: Energy Market Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Energy Market Analyst to join our team in assisting and performing trading activities. The selected candidate will prepare daily and monthly reports, ensuring the confidentiality of records and other information regarding transactions and generated accounts.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Trading Operations
  • The successful candidate will learn and familiarize themselves with the procedures and daily activities of trading, settlement, and sales teams.
  • They will be responsible for real-time WESM and Pre-WESM trading operations, preparing customer bilateral contract quantities (BCQ) nominations for use in the Trading Strategy.
Monitoring and Analysis
  • The Energy Market Analyst will ensure complete market data and system-related data and information are used for market analysis.
  • They will prepare operations-related reports and market analysis, generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
Coordination with Counter-parties
  • The successful candidate will coordinate with IEMOP and/or MSP to ensure proper implementation of trading strategies and protocols.
  • They will assist in coordinating with customers during switching procedures, dispute resolution, and other customer-related processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Math, Physics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in the WESM and/or electric power industry is preferred, but open to fresh graduates.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are also required.
