Duties and Responsibilities
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for generating and sending out invoices to customers, ensuring invoices are accurate and comply with correct tax calculations. They will work with the General Accountant to reconcile payments with outstanding invoices and resolve payment discrepancies, including tax calculation errors in invoices.

The ideal candidate will also assist the credit and collection team in following up on overdue accounts, build awareness on customers' payment plans and multi-year deals when necessary, gain understanding of the US sales tax laws and regulations, understand tax exemptions, resale certificates, and compliance requirements, collect tax exemptions and resale certificates and store them in Avalara, maintain and update customer account records, investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes, prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
