Role Description
At Paperback & Lattes, we are seeking a skilled Café Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Café Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes.
- Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with portioning ingredients and preparing dishes in advance for busy periods.
- Handle kitchen equipment such as grills, stoves, fryers, ovens, and blenders.
- Customize dishes based on customer preferences or special dietary needs.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house employees to ensure smooth service.
- Communicate effectively with baristas, waitstaff, and management to meet customer orders and expectations.
