AIA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team. As an Audit Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing management and the Board with an objective, independent assessment of internal control systems through planning and execution of audit assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparation of annual audit plan and schedules, audit committee reports, monthly country reports and other regional or local reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor audits performed by regulators, external auditors for special projects, other entities' auditors and other groups providing assurance.
  • Work with Senior Audit Managers to plan each audit job efficiently and effectively following approved annual audit plan and in accordance with GIA standards from planning to completion.
  • Execute and complete assigned audit tasks in accordance with GIA Standards.
  • For direct audit jobs, ensure that project is properly managed, audit efficiency is promoted, budgeted hours are observed and working papers meet required GIA standards.
  • Prepare quality audit reports and assist or lead discussion and resolutions of issues with appropriate levels of management.
  • Manage assigned direct projects to ensure timely delivery and issuance of reports.
  • Provide progress report of each project to superior on a periodic basis covering audit, admin and client-audit relationship issues.
  • Develop and/or maintain good working relationship with appropriate management level including those outside the audit engagement.
  • Suggest ways of improving audit process and quality, as well as synergy among team members.
  • Complete necessary training and CPE being required by Group and minimum requirements in order to maintain relevant professional certifications.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education – Graduate of BS Accountancy or other course related to company's business and operations.
  • Minimum seven years of internal/external audit experience in insurance, financial or related industry. Supervisory working experience is an advantage.
  • A relevant professional qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountant or equivalent.
  • Experience in life insurance business or financial services industry and strong understanding of insurance legislative/regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • Experience in applying data analytics (e.g. Galvanize) in assessing business application control effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of audit tools (e.g. TeamMate) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet milestones within time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, ability to analyse complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions.
  • Above average IT knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Good team player who is committed to achieve results.
