About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in software engineering and operating system kernel internals. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with our global team to develop and maintain the Ubuntu Linux kernel, ensuring its stability, security, and performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new kernel features and patches
  • Work closely with external silicon and cloud partners to ensure seamless integration and support for their technologies
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex kernel issues reported by customers and the community
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation and tools to facilitate kernel development and testing
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong academic record
  • Proven experience in C programming, with knowledge of Linux kernel internals and device drivers
