Job Overview

This is a senior Java software engineer role that focuses on developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications using modern Java development, cloud architecture, and industry-leading software solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test high-performance, scalable Java applications using Spring Boot framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive software solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Implement and maintain microservices architecture on the AWS cloud platform to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Write clean, well-structured, and testable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technology roadmap planning to drive innovation and growth.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong focus on enterprise-level applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot framework, Spring ecosystem (Security, Data JPA, Cloud), and related technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture, with a strong understanding of API security and governance.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL optimization techniques.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean code principles, and agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools to manage codebases and track changes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial services industry experience (banking, payments, trading, or fintech).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, with a focus on data security and privacy.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, with a strong emphasis on observability and performance metrics.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, with a focus on automation and reproducibility.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding standards, with a focus on preventing common web vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with performance testing and optimization, with a focus on improving application throughput and response times.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with a strong focus on computer programming and software engineering.
