Senior Linux System Engineer

Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? As a remote system administrator, you will be responsible for providing support within a 24/7 production environment.
Focusing on Ubuntu Linux Server(s), you will perform daily maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Linux systems and services. You will investigate alerts, coordinate responses, document responses, and communicate effectively with team members.
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of production Linux system administration experience, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work various shift schedules including early morning, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts in a 24/7 production environment.
Key qualifications include proficiency in Bash scripting, knowledge of user management, configuration, and package management best practices, experience managing Proxmox or a similar Linux KVM hypervisor, and experience configuring and debugging networking issues, routing problems, and firewall rules.
Additional requirements include familiarity with various technologies such as Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, MySQL, Redis, Memcache, ScyllaDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Proxmox, Bash, Perl, Go, PHP, Ceph, CFEngine, Git, Docker, and Juniper.
In this role, you will serve as the primary on-call engineer on a rotating basis during your scheduled shifts and have multiple opportunities for learning and development.
