  • In this role, you will work closely with your Product Owner (PO) and Junior Developers, contributing to strategic decision-making processes and mentoring junior developers. You will collaborate with Customer Journey Experts (CJE) and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the applications meet business needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Application Development: Lead the design and development of complex Pega applications, ensuring robust workflows, user interfaces, and business logic.
  • Strategic Implementation: Develop and implement strategies for optimizing Pega applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues, applying advanced problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Journey Experts (CJEs), Architects, and other stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into effective Pega solutions.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

Key Capabilities/Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Pega development, with a comprehensive understanding of Pega rules, classes, flows, and data structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Pega Platform Architecture and design principles.
  • Expertise in Pega integration patterns and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in Agile / Scrum / DevOps projects.
  • Great analytical skills and conceptual/architectural understanding.
  • Experience working in a complex, regulated environment such as a large financial institution.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of extensive experience in Pega development.
  • Pega Certification: Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) / Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) – preferred but not mandatory.
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing, and good general communication skills.
  • Able to bring all ideas/opinions to one conclusion to help make decisions.
  • Up to date with new technology and have a deep understanding of when to use it.
  • Humble in approach and not afraid to be wrong.
  • Proud of what they do and enjoy sharing this with their external network.
