Job Summary

As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of the hotel, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with policies and regulations.

You will direct and coordinate the work of subordinate accounting staff, manage day-to-day transactions, and prepare financial reports. Additionally, you will ensure timely closure of accounts, conduct regular audits, and implement internal controls to mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities include supervising accountants, managing cash flows, preparing financial statements, and conducting periodic reviews of accounting practices.

  • Direct and control the accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Supervise subordinate accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day transactions, including cash handling, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely closure of accounts, conducting regular audits and implementing internal controls as needed.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of accounting practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • 3-7 years of related experience in accounting or finance.
  • Relevant degree or professional certification in accounting or finance.
  • Excellent local and English language skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Reasonable knowledge of computer systems and software.
