Job Description:

The Poutrix CCM team is growing, and we're looking for enthusiastic Cost & Commercial Management professionals to join us to work on a range of projects with a focus on sustainability and resilience.

This role sits within our global business area Resilience, where we protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. We're feeling the effects of climate change, rapid urbanization, and loss of biodiversity, making it essential to protect our natural environment and water resources.

As part of our Cost Management team, you'll be involved in various projects from global and high-profile to small and impactful, ensuring they're delivered on time and to budget. Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting, and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and review project costs and variances on small commercial/regeneration/residential projects to control cost variables.
  2. Deliver or assist in managing small to medium-scale cost projects or significant components of cost management assignments, ensuring delivery of required scope within set deadlines.
  3. Understand and comply with business risk and present any project concerns or issues to senior managers to ensure the project isn't adversely impacted.
  4. Provide advice on principles of risk management to ensure adherence to the organization's risk and compliance processes.
  5. Analyze and review data to collate trends and prepare documentation like delivery plans, providing advice and making recommendations to support cost and commercial management decision-making.
  6. Use your knowledge and experience to review and analyze existing cost and commercial management processes and policies, sharing knowledge and taking an active involvement in service improvement and innovation.
  7. Interact with internal and external customers, applying technical knowledge to complete complex tasks to ensure projects/programs can be delivered to meet customer expectations.
  8. Provide specialist technical advice and guidance within the area, supporting others with cost management queries and actively sharing knowledge to inform colleagues and provide a high level of service to clients.
  9. Collaborate with external stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of their needs to resolve stakeholder issues and provide quality client care, contributing to ongoing client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience.
  2. Must have experience in water and wastewater management.
  3. Experience in delivering analysis and insights.
  4. In-depth technical knowledge of specialized fields, including construction processes and cost and commercial management.
  5. Demonstration of self-management and prioritization skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing stakeholders and third parties.
  7. Ability to take a project through from inception to completion.
  8. NEC Contracts experience is a plus.
