We're seeking a skilled Loan Officer Assistant to join our team, helping clients navigate the mortgage process with ease.

Key Responsibilities

This role is critical in ensuring loan applications are completed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and organizing borrower documentation, preparing and reviewing loan applications for submission, and maintaining accurate data in our loan origination system (LOS).

You will also coordinate with appraisers, title companies, and insurance providers, tracking loan file progress, and ensuring compliance requirements and deadlines are met.

In addition, you will draft and send communications to clients, partners, and internal teams on behalf of the Loan Officer, assist with pipeline management, reporting, and provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining client records.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience), 2-3 years of experience in mortgage brokerage or financial services, and familiarity with loan origination systems (Encompass, Calyx, or similar).

You should have strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written, and ability to manage multiple files, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools, client-focused and service-oriented, have high integrity and commitment to confidentiality, be proactive, resourceful, and solutions-driven, and able to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
