We are looking for a Travel Industry Business Development Manager to lead our hotel contracting efforts.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in negotiation and business development.
Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating special offers and exclusive deals with hotels.
- Identifying potential partner hotels and conducting business meetings.
- Ensuring all hotels are re-contracted with specific deadlines.
- Addressing and resolving any standard or service level issues with suppliers.
- Analyzing internal issues with operations and account colleagues and working on resolving them.
- Monitoring room production closely and collaborating with relevant parties to stimulate booking, room night, and revenue growth.
- Conducting business trips to improve supplier relations and negotiating best-in-market rates per business requirements.
- Identifying new products that align with room nights and sales requirements.
Requirements:
- At least three (3) years of experience in Travel Sales or Inbound operations.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in Hotel Contracting or a related field.
- Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts.
- Familiarity with accounting procedures.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with varying seniority levels.
- Initiative to grow and expand the business.
