Insurance Business Analyst Position Overview

This role focuses on analysis of current and future business environments, as well as systems landscape.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business and client project requirements, capturing context, current state, desired outcomes, and objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs) that are clear, unambiguous, and suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present detailed requirements to stakeholders to obtain consensus and buy-in.
  • Review and evaluate proposed solutions for alignment with business and customer needs, highlighting key risks.
  • Collaborate with product teams to design and implement solutions that align with the company's data-led strategy.
  • Assess and manage the impact of requirements on data systems and business processes.
  • Support development, systems testing, UAT, and implementation by working closely with solution partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Validate test case scenarios against BRDs and audit test case results performed by UAT testers.
  • Evaluate adherence to change control and change management procedures related to business requirements.
  • Share best practices and insights with the wider team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business analysis, data science, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a business analyst, with a focus on data systems and management.
  • Proven success in business and quality analysis roles involving complex project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing abilities at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques, including user stories, process flowcharting, requirements documentation.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with project management and change platforms, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Open Project, Azure.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
